32 oz Beef Tallow
4.2 oz Lye*
12.16 oz Water
1.5 oz essential oil (optional)
*Use proper precaution for use with lye, gloves, goggles and long sleeve shirt. Always use in well ventilated area and do not breathe in fumes from lye while mixing soap batch.
Weigh out all ingredients on a accurate digital kitchen scale
*DO NOT LIFT BLENDER WHILE IN USE OR USE ON TOP OF LIQUID it will splash all over causing lye burns on you or make a mess. (Ask me how I know).
If you would have told me three years ago that things in my life would NEVER be the same I would have told you you were crazy. I thought I would forever struggle with skin issues, pain, night crawling, itching and blistering. I thought I would always be tired and sluggish and in a brain fog because I was getting older.
But that is exactly what has occurred over the nine months of my healing. Every aspect of my life has been demolished and reconstructed in a whole new and improved way.

We live in a culture that seeks immediate results. We want things NOW. We want things easy.
Well nothing is that simple. When it comes to healing and lasting results we must take it One Day at a Time and recognize our complete need for divine intervention.
I want to simplify it for you and share some history of how I got to where I am.
In the early 2000’s, I had heard about detoxing and cleansing when I worked for Dr Christopher’s herb shop connection back in college over. But like so many, I had never considered my need for changing anything or pursuing it for my health, I was young and healthy.
That was then.
Fast forward to Early 2016
I knew I was not feeling well, I was tired all the time, and I struggled to get out of bed. It seemed like a mild depression or lack of motivation. Maybe I was just getting older.
I had settled for this as normal. I couldn’t figure out why I had no energy, after all, I ate a variety of good food and drank only water.
On top of that, my kidneys were hurting almost constantly, reminding me of the nickel sized kidneys stone that had put me in the hospital for three days while camping in August of 2012 and my skin eczema had reached an all time unbearable, itchy, and blistering state that kept me up most nights. Especially the week leading up the the full moon.
I started experimenting with removing added sugar from my diet and discovered that my eczema and my kidneys were fueled by added sugars. Eating a clean diet and slowly introducing green drinks, Probiotics and Digestive enzymes as well as Chicken Broth and bone broth to my diet. I also had checked out a book from the library The 30 Day Faith Detox by Laura Harris. In this book, I found helpful tips on easy detoxes from one organ to the next, recipes and shopping recommendations, as if this wasn’t enough great stuff, she wraps it all up with a great daily devotional and spiritual and relational detox tips. (I only made it to day 10—Here is why ~ I am looking forward to completing the 30 day journey as soon as I stop breastfeeding my 5th child)
I soon started experimenting with removing added sugar from my diet and discovered that my eczema and my kidneys were fueled by added sugars.
I knew I had stumbled on something incredibly effective and dove right in. My body was overloaded in many areas and I was desperate for lasting result.
Here is my reasons for detoxing.
About this same time, I had been talking with my friend in South Africa and gaining a lot of good Ayurvedic remedies and I had checked out the book 30 Day Faith Detox By Laura Harris from the library. This all fell into place at the right time. After eliminating added sugar from my diet, I began noticing changes to my eczema and even surprised by the disappearance of the corn on my foot that I had been quite used to as the new normal. I started using the methods in the The 30 Day Faith Detox which included Detoxing the Liver gently, Colon and Eating Clean.

One day at a time…
My eczema started clearing up after I was able to go without sugar and started drinking my greens from Purity Products Organic Juice Cleanse. It would flair back up when I snuck any sugar and that dang maddening itch began. I would notice a pattern as I was out standing outside observing the full moon. So I began to pay attention and realized that quite a bit of restlessness, swelling and itching occurred each month for about 5 days prior and up to the full moon. I tried many things that helped, like changing my diet, morning detox drink, and some that didn’t. While diets is key, the easiest most simple methods are my Nightly Detox Baths followed by soaking my hand in vodka and essential oils and alternating with my thyme discovery. I used these things nightly until my hand cleared and anytime I could feel a flare up followed by applying Pine Salve. With patience and vigor over the past 8 months I have been clear of painful blistering for two months now. What are you waiting for? Get started today or step it up.

is the largest detox organ of our body. Once I accepted this, I started taking detox baths every night until my skin cleared up nicely. I simply used a recommended bath I had heard about online and added some essential oils for fragrance.
My mom has used Young Living Essential oils for years for massage therapy, but I had just thought they were used for their scent alone. I just hadn’t grasped the healing properties they hold until this year.
Before going to bed each night I would get proactive, I found that I could sleep longer if I bathed before bed.
Skin Brushing is great to speed up detoxing and help the body move lymph and boost the immune system. Basically running a dry bristle brush over the skin lightly several times in sets starting at limbs and moving slowly towards the heart.

Standing in the shower just before running the bath or before bed.
We have lymph nodes in several areas of our bodies and our lymphatic system is part of our immune system and it gets backed up. There is no pump and it relies on exercise and movement in order to work and flow freely and oftentimes gets backed up and causes inflamed lymph nodes when our body is trying to fight off infections. Skin brushing helps get thing moving freely as intended.
I was healing from ECZEMA and I found heat helped soothe the itch. The HOTTER THE WATER, THE BETTER. I even turned up the temperature on my water heater. PLEASE USE CAUTION AND DO NOT BURN YOURSELF OR YOUR KIDS!!!

During the coarse of my healing, I would soak as much as possible. Almost nightly, and more frequently when my eczema was flaring. I would only use a mild soap such as goat milk soap
I followed my bath by drying completely and rubbing a mix of 1/4 cup vodka, 5 drops of thyme and 5 drops of cloves essential oils on any eczema until the itch has settled, along with any dry spots, zits, moles, and skin tags and allowing to air dry then applying a pine salve I had made onto my eczema. I had tried it before from my mom and loved it so much that I made my own.

We all NEED a little sugar in our diet. A little sugar isn’t going to hurt you. Well, there lies the issue. What is the BIG DEAL?

I have discovered the natural way to improve my life. It’s far too good to keep to myself. This is for all my friends and family who are curious about my new lifestyle changes and all those others who would like to learn what has worked for me.
Some of us grow up hearing, ‘it’s all about our diet and exercise.’ Well, if you are like me, you may think, ‘I do not need to diet’, or , ‘I eat pretty healthy.’ This is the thinking that has gotten me into a bit of trouble. Maybe you have trouble losing weight, feel sluggish, losing momentum or plain just don’t ever feel good. You may be on your own healing path and have tips to share. You’re in the right place.
Well, diet and exercise is a broad and overused term. I will attempt to break it down and explain exactly what that means to me today…
I am a 36 year old, mother of five children and 110 pounds on a heavy day. I grew up in Utah, eating the average American diet of cold cereals, malt o meal, oatmeal, eggs, french toast, pancakes, waffles all smothered in margarine and imitation maple syrup and toast with margarine for breakfast’s. Macaroni and cheese, ramen noodles, school lunches and fast foods once or twice a month for lunches. I enjoyed a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables for snacks and home cooked dinners (mostly out of a can of coarse). I drank a cup or two of milk daily and a juice on occasion. We had six kids in the family so the fresh food went quickly.
I recreationally used drugs and alcohol and tobacco as a teenager, but I quickly turned my life around upon getting pregnant, and turning my life over to God and being forgiven by the blood shed by Jesus Christ for all my sins. I married at 17 and began my family.
I have always been fairly healthy, but occasionally I had suffered from dry skin and cracking, some athletes feet, eczema and warts. These skin issues went dormant mostly after my teen years of partying. (I will share my conclusion on this in a later post)
As a mom, I loved to cook mostly from scratch and use family recipes, I made homemade pies like my dad and my mom’s no bake cheesecake for Christmas and Thanksgiving. I enjoy creating new and healthy snacks, rice krispie treats, cookies of all kinds (with what I thought was a healthy twist.) I also enjoyed homemade pancakes smothered in imitation syrup, whole wheat flour, oatmeal raisin cookies with nuts, I served my family crepes weekly (white flour, egg, milk, a thin pancake smothered in margarine and powdered sugar).
Basically I ate a good balance of good and healthy foods and plenty of bad foods, a ton of candy, sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup and other toxins for over 30 years. You get the picture.
All in all, I seemed pretty healthy most of the time. I did start to feel sluggish, low energy, and had a complete lack of motivation or ability to keep up with my kids the past 10 years or so, but this is normal right?
So I thought…
WHY WAS I STILL SICK?
This is only the beginning of amazing things to come.

Here is the basics to my Journey of healing.
Remedies in the order that I have tried and the results I got (a work in progress)
Dr recommendations prescribed and over the counter yeast and fungal creams, steroids and more.
Vodka and essential oils.
Cayenne pepper and yogurt-applied topically on my hand eczema and covered with a glove when needed
Peanut butter cinnamon and honey-combined as a scrub. Apply over eczema and scrub. Let sit scrape off and wash with non toxic soap.
Vinegar and borax-detox bath with added essential oils such as, thieves, cloves, rosemary, lavender. To avoid oil burns mix with a small amount of castile soap and run under bath water to disperse evenly.
Cloves-tincture internal (NOT ESSENTIAL OIL) and topically
Garlic and olive oil (Topical and internal)
Borax and peroxide-bath with oils as well
Thymol – benefect botanical disinfectant
30 Day Faith Detox. (I made it to day 10)

Alcohol Type and Strength
The appropriate alcohol strength for your tincture will depend upon the qualities of the plant material being used. Stronger is not always better!
Tips for matching your alcohol strength to the herb being tinctured:
40% to 50% alcohol by volume (80- to 90-proof vodka)
• “Standard” percentage range for tinctures.
• Good for most dried herbs and fresh herbs that are not super juicy.
• Good for extraction of water-soluble properties.
67.5% to 70% alcohol by volume (half 80-proof vodka and half 190-proof grain alcohol)
• Extracts the most volatile aromatic properties.
• Good for fresh, high-moisture herbs like lemon balm, berries, and aromatic roots.
• The higher alcohol percentage will draw out more of the plant juices.
85% to 95% alcohol by volume (190-proof grain alcohol)
• Good for dissolving gums and resins but not necessary for most plant material.
• Extracts the aromatics and essential oils bound in a plant that don’t dissipate easily.
• This alcohol strength can produce a tincture that’s not easy to take and will also dehydrate the herbs if used for botanicals beyond gums and resins.
30 oz tallow or lard (be sure to weigh on a scale)
4 oz 100% pure lye
11 oz distilled water
*When making soap, always measure by WEIGHT, not by volume
0.5 oz essential oil if desired
SUPPLIES NEEDED READY TO USE
Silicone or freezer paper lined container or soap box
Stick blender all metal
APPROXIMATED TIME 2-3 HRS
In a heat tolerant glass or stainless bowl or jar and in an area with good ventilation (I do this under with my oven fan on), carefully stir the lye into the measured water. ALWAYS add the lye to the water– do NOT add the water to the lye, as it can result in a volcano-like reaction.
Use gloves, goggles and mask for protection from.
Stir this lye/water mixture until it has dissolved and let it sit for a few minutes. There will be a chemical reaction between the lye and water, and the water will become very hot, so be careful handling the container. Wait til the solution is clear and cool enough to handle.
Place the melted tallow in the crockpot (if it’s not already there), and slowly stir the lye/water mixture in.
Switch to an immersion blender (trust me, unless you want to stand there stirring for an hour, you’ll use an immersion blender), and proceed to blend the tallow, lye, and water until you reach TRACE.
TRACE is when the mixture turns to a pudding-like consistency and holds its shape when you drip a bit on top.
Now put the lid on the crockpot, set it on LOW, and allow it to cook for 45-60 minutes. It will bubble and froth, which is fine. Just keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn’t attempt to bubble out of the pot. If it attempts an escape, just stir it back down.
Once it has cooked for a while and passes the “zap” test, IT DOESN’T HAVE A ZAP IF SMALL AMOUNT IS TOUCHED TO THE TIP OF TONGUE, pour/scoop it into a mold and COVER WITH a piece of CARDBOARD AND WRAP IN A TOWEL and allow it to set for 12-24 hours.
Remove the solid soap from the mold, cut into bars and set on a wire rack to cure for 4-6 weeks. Soap will not be usable until then.
MOST IMPORTANT PRAY PRAY PRAY AND DO WHAT GOD GUIDES YOU TO DO, then understand the following options.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS!

RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT
YOU ARE NOT LEGALLY OBLIGATED TO COMMUNICATE, RESPOND, EXPLAIN OR TALK TO CPS FOR ANY REASON.
It is ALWAYS easier to keep your children AWAY from the CHAINS of CPS than it is to get out of their GRIPS once they inch their way into your lives. THEREFORE, DO NOT GIVE THEM ANYTHING TO WORK WITH. Many innocent parents willingly comply, believing they will be vindicated, only to find themselves trampled on and intruded upon. Some innocent families are EVEN separated on very little evidence or hearsay.
Be sure your children know that they have the right to say, “I don’t want to be interviewed without my parents, an attorney and a tape recorder present.”
RIGHT TO AN ATTORNEY
IMPORTANT- Don’t speak to CPS. Get an attorney familiar with CPS and have all communications made through them.
ANYTHING YOU SAY, CAN AND WILL BE TWISTED AND USED AGAINST YOU. They do not follow regular court procedures and are not based on “innocent until proven guilty” notions. They operate on hearsay and potentially harmful accusations.
It is not the time to prove anything. It is their job to try to find backing to their case.
Don’t agree to/or sign anything without an attorney present. Do NOT ENTER into CONTRACT with them.
RIGHT TO PRIVACY
Note: For CPS this isn’t ONLY about the initial report. Alligations only give them an invitation to seek more evidence on you and to BUILD A CASE AGAINST YOU. I think many people find themselves thinking it is simply about the one incident that initiated the contact. They are looking for ANY sign that they can use.
This could include CPS attempting to gather info:
DO NOT ASSIST THEM, IT IS NOT YOUR JOB TO PROVE ANYTHING.
GIVE THEM NOTICE OF THEIR VIOLATION OF YOUR RIGHTS.
If they show up after being asked not to return without a warrant or continue contacting you after you have nicely asked them to contact your attorney, they are in violation and you MAY consider a restraining order, tort claim and harassment suit.
Keep Legal Records
“IF” you are being called, your child interviewed, or other contact is being made through an attorney or directly.
1-Keep a spiral-bound notebook on hand and use it to document every contact with child protective services or child protective services appointed “service providers”. Don’t back down on this! Prepare in advance, and stand firm against CPS agents!
2-Write a letter of facts
After each contact, write a letter to your social worker or party involved via certified mail(some recommend having such a letter notarized) detailing what occurred, (IF CONTACT IS HAPPENING – request that the social worker confirm or deny the facts as you understand them within ten days of receipt of your letter.) WHO, WHAT, WHEN WHERE WHY HOW DATE TIME ETC.
If no letter disputing the facts is received, then your statement of facts will be automatically confirmed. This form of documentation can later be used as evidence in your favor in juvenile family court.
Dedicate ONE notebook to this and ONE pen. Its authenticity is not likely to be questioned but if it is this will be the easiest way for an expert to verify it. Keeping the same pen and notebook.
Make a medical records request and gather ALL medical records of the child from birth if possible.
Document anything else regarding the case and the care of your children.
Contact your local and state representatives and inform them of your situation and that you feel that you are being harassed on unfounded accusations and that you fear for your children’s well being.
HOW TO HANDLE CPS
RECORD. RECORD. RECORD. Download a call recorder app to your phone. Even pretending to record (if your phone is dead, will keep them on their toes.
CPS CALLS YOU: LEAVES A MESSAGE
CPS CALLS YOU: YOU ANSWER AND ARE TAKEN BY SURPRISE
DO NOT SAY ANYTHING ELSE. IF YOU CAN’T RECALL ALL THIS SIMPLY SAY. “I AM SORRY YOU CAUGHT ME AT A BAD TIME, YOU ARE WELCOME TO CONTACT ME AFTER I CAN SPEAK WITH MY ATTORNEY”
DO NOT tell them you will call them. It is their job to CALL you.
If they don’t call you – the better for you. If you promise to call and don’t then they might make note that you didn’t do what you said.
Note: write down every detail you can and start gathering needed documentation to support your position.
CONTACT AN ATTORNEY FAMILIAR WITH CPS – Ask them to contact cps and demand all further contact be with attorney present. Do not permit children to speak to CPS without their own attorney present and a tape recording. Ask that the attorney make a written statement of everything asked with answers. Be sure the social worker reads, dates and signs it as accurate.
SCENARIO 1- CPS SHOWS UP ALONE
CPS CANNOT JUST ENTER YOUR HOME OR TAKE YOUR KIDS.
CPS does NOT have the “Right” (Authority) to go into your house without a warrant and that law enforcement has to declare “imminent danger” for kids to be removed without a warrant.
“My kids are Safe and Cared for, please contact my attorney if you have anything else you need, now excuse me, I must get back to my kids.”
SCENARIO 2- CPS SHOWS UP WITH POLICE (SAME AS IF THEY SHOW ALONE) BUT ADDING
”Now you don’t REALLY think my child is in imminent danger, do you?”
Typical Police Response:
“no, we just want to make sure everything is alright.”
”Well thank you for your concern, I wish to retain my PRIVACY, please come back with a warrant.” CLOSE THE DOOR.
***THIS QUESTION RULES OUT IMMINENT DANGER***

Tallow has been used safely and healthily for hundreds of years for frying, baking and more and in moderation can still be considered a healthy fat to cook with. It can be time consuming to make but with cheap access to healthy grass fed suet, or kidney fat, you simply cannot go wrong.

DON’T walk away from this in the middle. I have found this can cause cheesecloth to clog with tallow if allowed to cool in the jars halfway through.
TIP: I tighten up the edges of the cheesecloth to avoid spilling chunks into my CLEAN TALLOW. Do a little testing of your cheesecloth by slowly pouring and adjusting as needed. You DO NOT want to allow too much chucky fat to slip by this step. If more than a cup of chucky fat slips through, you may want to repeat the steps PRIOR to filling your jars.

NOTE:***DON’T be tempted to skip the first filtering process and filter directly into your jars, be assured, you WILL prevent a headache, mess and save time by using both filtering processes due the mess created by the excessive amount of solids that can slip by your filter in the funnel each time you clean it out (which is needed almost every scoop). I have tested both ways while learning and the 2 filtering method is by far the easiest, cleanest and fastest method I have tried.
BIG MISTAKE BY SKIPPING THE FIRST FILTERING SLOWS PROCESS DOWN AND ALLOWS TALLOW AND CHUNK TO COOL WHILE CONTINUALLY CLEANING AND DUMPING THE FUNNEL AND SMALL CHEESECLOTH FILLED WITH CHUNKS. NOT TO MENTION THE GREASY HANDS AND EQUIPMENT AND THE OTHER BLOOPERS THAT CAN OCCUR. IF NEEDED TOSS ALL THE CHEESECLOTH AND GO BACK AND START STEP 10 AGAIN.
NOTE: To insure a good seal and clean tallow- DON’T walk away from this in the middle. I have found this can cause premature spoilage of tallow if allowed to cool in the jars halfway through.
IMPORTANT NOTE: DIRTY GREASY RIM – If you may have dripped tallow down the funnel or overflowed you will want t use a Hot damp clean cloth to carefully remove grease from the rim. OR start with a separate clean jar with funnel and pour hot tallow avoiding grease on the rim.
Hot tallow will be clear like canola oil.
Cool tallow will be white and opaque

I was doing laundry one afternoon and using my usual borax and baking soda and I decided to use a little vinegar. I also had to put my hands in the water to push all the clothes in. Well my eczema on my hands started burning like mad. I couldn’t believe how badly they burned and itched and even blistered. It felt like biting under my skin. I could not handle all the agony.
I was experiencing another bad REACTION, ‘I won’t do that again’, I thought!
I applied some of my Herbal Pine Salve and went about my day.
Later that evening I realized that all the blisters were healing and that almost all the eczema was soothed. Another coincidence? I think not. Once again, God was giving me another aspect of knowledge for my healing. For those suffering with the maddening itch of eczema, flaring, blistering, itchy and chafing- a simple cayenne scrub may aid in healing and itch relief. Start off slow on the cayenne and test on a small area. It isn’t the easiest to tolerate at first but has played a major part in my healing journey along with my diet changes. Here are some recipes I used along with my Cayenne Pain Salve.
Cinnamon Paste (a mild beginning)
Mix ingredients well and apply as needed. Nightly until healing well. Works well to relieve itching and draw out eczema. Scrub, massage, scrape, or simply wash off. Do not hesitate to scrub a little rough as this will help to get the rooted eczema to the surface.
Cayenne/Cinnamon Yogurt (for those just starting out and need a milder start)

Cayenne/Cinnamon Scrub Recipe (For those ready to rage war and try anything)
Mix ingredients in a small jar and apply to eczema or acne as needed for relief. Daily or nightly as able. Cover with towel or plastic bag as needed to leave on as long as possible. (You may want to test a small area and the burn is temporary and you build a tolerance to it . (starting out you may just want to add a dash of cayenne and work up to more) I literally chased my eczema around my hand this way. I had to get serious and attack full force.
Directions for using Cayenne treatments
Mix ingredients well and apply as needed. At night or an hour before bedtime.
Cover with a plastic bag or old clothes to prevent staining clothing.
Wash as needed but burn doesn’t always stop immediately. Apply cool yogurt or other neutral cover to draw any burning needed.
The burning may continue after washed off so go at your own pace and tolerance level. I was hard core and went full force after a while as my torture and itching was severe as well.
Caution: Wash Hands Thoroughly after application or use. Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth or other sensitive areas after using.
After complete or in the morning, apply Pine Salve.

CAUTION: I would not try the cayenne with a young child. Cinnamon will burn a little so maybe start with a Tbsp and work up to more. I would do this for about a week during the most severe itchy times of the month as the eczema cycles.

Data are available on plasma concentrations of oseltamivir carboxylate following various dosing schedules in patients with renal impairment [see Clinical Pharmacology (12.3)]. Treatment of Influenza Dose adjustment is recommended for adult patients with creatinine clearance between 10 and 30 mL/min receiving TAMIFLU for the treatment of influenza. In these patients it is recommended that the dose be reduced to 75 mg of TAMIFLU once daily for 5 days. No recommended dosing regimens are available for patients with end-stage renal disease undergoing routine hemodialysis or continuous peritoneal dialysis treatment. Here is how I parasite cleansed. It was long and ongoing for about 3-6 months initially, then an ongoing maintenance diet and watching what I eat. I am not eating processed foods, GMO’s, toxins, or sugar. It is a a complete lifestyle change.
