If you are like me, and have a Special Palao-like, NO SUGAR diet, the gatherings, picnics, and potlucks can become a dread and holidays can come in like a storm and wreck havoc in your life. Having susceptibility to kidney stones and eating a special diet can be tricky.
I get a tinge ofkidney pain any time that I waiver from this diet as a firm reminder that I never want to experience anotherKidney Stone EVER… This pain keeps me on my toes here.
I always have a stocked pantry with items that I can whip up a delicious desert to take along. I try to stock my freezer with a variety of grab and go sizes for on the go. And when going to a potluck, I make 2 trays just so that I can have a back up in case my 1st tray is devoured before my family gets the chance to dish up.
Here are some of my go to items.
Carob chips, great for cookies
Medjool dates (dates and almond or pecans make great graham cracker crust replacements and fill with fresh fruit sprinkled with cinnamon)
One of the things I struggle with is chocolate. I love it but it is hard on me and my kidneys and full of toxic sugar. On my quest to avoid chocolate, I had to get creative.
About a year ago, I discovered carob and began making new and healthy treats that did not have cocoa powder. I struggled to locate a good source. Until NOW. You have to try CAROB for yourself…
Uncommon Carob Bar Cool Mint
I am super excited to share that recently, I discovered a great source of carob. Not only carob powder, but Uncommon Carob Bars and baking chips. These are the responses my husband, and kids had upon trying these bars.
I tested them out on my family, (as I have been known to enjoy some odd tastes these days, after all, I eat raw garlic and kimchi on my salads) by giving my husband a small piece and I ask him if he wants more.
“The peppermint tingle stays in your throat while the chocolate goes down.”
Later that afternoon, my adult son and his friend stopped by and I offered them some of the Naturally Sweetened Baking Chips AKA. “Mom’s healthy chocolate”. I told them it wasn’t chocolate but his friend quickly replies:
“This is some DANK chocolate.”
My son walked away with my bag of Uncommon Carob Naturally Sweetened before I noticed they were gone.
Everyone Loves Carob
My kids love carob, my husband loves it and no one has said a word about it NOT being chocolate.
THESE WILL NOT last long in my house so I must order in bulk to maintain a stock on hand. I am excited to share that I can order in bulk and get free shipping and local pick up with AZURE STANDARDS once a month.
They have a delivery route and drop off in different cities across the United States with free shipping…
You can add to your order all month long until the cutoff time and then you pay upon delivery. There must be a minimum order for each location, but that is usually met once you tell your friends. You even can earn by referring them. You meet the driver at the specified drop time and go home with your boxes of stuff.
Or you can pay postage and get it shipped as well.
Not only can I find GREAT TASTING AND SMOOTH carob but many other food products and more. Their items are always NON GMO or Organic and high quality products I can trust for my family.
They have it all and I do not have to read every label knowing that I can TRUST AZURE STANDARDS. I am so excited!!!
Check out what they have and the best part is you can JOIN for
