Let’s face it, we are all in a rush.  Our life is busy and it’s hard to maintain our health.

Ultimately we must change our habits to get well or to prevent illness and disease.  The keys to our healing stands with Jesus Christ and all he has revealed and all that God has provided.

He alone holds the keys.  Eating right is simply an act of taking care of the bodies we have been given with the foods God has provided.  I started out with recommendations from Laura Harris in her book, The 30 Day Faith Detox.  She has great recipes and shopping guides every step of the way.  If you need detailed and practical meal plans laid out for you, this may be your answer.  I found them to be a little extreme and I simplified many of the recipes based on what I could afford.  Either way, it is a good start for healing.

I pray God’s Spirit guides you in this journey that I am sure He has brought you here begin.  Start slow and slowly buy only these items for a while.  At the same time giving away, donating, or gradually consuming and not restocking harmful foods.  You can do this.  Let’s go shopping!

My printable shopping list

First things first…  Azure Standards is where I buy in bulk once a month.  There is no yearly membership, buy in or delivery cost.  I just schedule their deliver date and time for pick up into my schedule, add to my order until the deadline and pick up my order.  It can be intimidating the first time but do not worry, you will love it.  Here is a printable shopping list of items I keep on hand with a few quick reminders

  • Sugar is toxic and causes disease.
  • Grains, breads and dairy are hard on the gut and feed harmful bacteria and prevent healing.  Cut these four things and the healing begins.  THESE FEED DISEASE AND PARASITES…
  • Stick with products with 1 to 3 ingredients that are food based
  • Organic means NON GMO
  • NON GMO does not mean spray free
  • Avoid toxic ingredients, dyes, additives, and preservatives

Items for making Healing Fudge

  • Coconut Oil (organic, unrefined if possible)
  • Nut butter (organic peanut butter, almond butter, or some other nut butter)
  • Honey (raw natural)
  • Plain unsweetened cocoa powder (I now use carob powder as I have discovered cocoa to be hard on my kidneys)
  • Cinnamon (stronger the better)
  • Pure Vanilla Extract (not imitation)

SHOPPING TIPS

  • shop the outer walls of the grocery store.  (Produce and fresh foods)
  • avoid frozen or packaged foods
  • avoid added sugars listed in ingredients as sugar, cane syrup, corn syrup, modified, and other ingredients you cannot read or pronounce
  • Buy meat with NO hormones, antibiotics, nitrates and nitrites. Grass fed beef
  • Buy local free range eggs.
  • If you cannot afford organic, buy from the clean 15 fruits and veggies list.
